On February 24th, 2019, Allentown Optical will proudly celebrate 35 years of excellence in the optical industry. Throughout our growth and changes over the years, it has been an absolute pleasure to serve our clients and offer the friendly, personalized customer service that is our trademark. We are looking forward to many more years of working as an independent optical lab.

Our History

Our journey began in 1984 when six staff members formed Allentown Optical. For six great years, we expanded our business until we could no longer fit in our location at the time. That’s when we relocated to our current location, a 10,000 square foot facility that was designed by Michael Gassler, our president at the time. We were fortunate to be able to design the facility to fit our exact requirements and specifications, optimizing it for an efficient workflow. Though there have been changes over the years, we continue to work out of this building, located in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

The Future 

Like any modern industry, the optical industry continues to grow and change. Fortunately, we are fully equipped to meet any challenges that the future holds. We continue to modernize and upgrade, offering the latest technology in optical services. We are extremely proud that as an independent optical lab we are able to offer a competitive and comprehensive list of services and products, but with a higher level of customer service. Because we are employee-owned, every person is passionate about putting their best efforts into their work. Though we love working with our local customers, we are pleased to serve the entire United States.

As we look to the future, we are excited to continue working with our loyal clients and to make new partnerships. We are incredibly thankful for the support that has allowed us to celebrate this important 35-year milestone. We look forward to 35 more years, and beyond.
